Procedure Overview
Enlarged male breasts are usually reduced using a combination of liposuction and tissue excision techniques. Your surgical approach will be determined by the ratio of breast tissue to fat cells present in the breast. In some cases, men who are overweight and have not yet tried to reduce their chest through diet and exercise may not be good candidates for surgery.
Your Surgery
Male breast reduction is typically performed under general anesthesia. A very small incision is made on the chest wall and liposuction is performed using extremely fine cannulas. In some cases where excess breast tissue is present, some skin and tissue excision may be required.
