Why CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a new way to get slimmer without breaking a sweat. There are no lasers or scalpels involved, just a controlled cooling device that gently freezes away unwanted fat. CoolSculpting helps you lose those last few inches and can be the perfect complement to an active, healthy lifestyle. If you’re seeking a nonsurgical alternative to liposuction, CoolSculpting provides a comfortable, convenient option for the flatter tummy, toned thighs, or slimmer hips that you desire.

Good Candidates for CoolSculpting

Women and men who see the best results from CoolSculpting want to reduce fat on certain areas of their bodies, rather than make dramatic changes. A good CoolSculpting candidate is at or near a healthy weight, but is bothered by stubborn bulges that remain despite exercise and a healthy diet. Additionally, good skin tone is important, because the skin should retract to adapt to your body’s new contours.

As with any procedure, it’s important that CoolSculpting patients’ expectations are realistic and that they’re in good overall health.

CoolSculpting in Half the Time

We’ve added a second CoolSculpting machine at our med spa, so we can now treat 2 symmetrical areas of the body at once. Using 2 CoolSculpting machines at the same time — a practice sometimes called DualSculpting — cuts the treatment time in half, meaning you can get back to the rest of your day sooner. It’s now possible to treat paired areas such as the flanks (“love handles”), thighs, or even the upper and lower abdominal area in about 45 minutes to an hour.

Your Treatment Experience

With 2 CoolSculpting machines, your procedure should take about an hour, even when your treatment involves a large area or multiple areas (each flank, for example, is considered a single area). Most people describe the procedure as being very comfortable. You will be able to lie down and relax as the CoolSculpting machine gently draws your skin between 2 cooling panels. You may then notice an immediate chilling sensation as the procedure begins, but the feeling will gradually dissipate as you become used to the cold.

You can ask our med spa providers about possibly combining CoolSculpting with another nonsurgical treatment, such as a facial rejuvenation procedure or [link pid=”3561″]miraDry®[/link], a treatment that curtails excessive underarm sweating.

After treatment, you can return to your normal day. Most people notice some mild redness, soreness, or numbness at the treatment site. These side effects will diminish over the next few hours and days. You will notice that your clothes fit more loosely after several weeks. At about 3 months, your final results should be visible.

CoolSculpting FAQ

How does CoolSculpting work? CoolSculpting uses a patented fat freezing process to selectively target and destroy unwanted fat cells without harming nearby tissue. Once the fat cells are destroyed, your body naturally metabolizes and eliminates them. One session usually results in about a 20 to 25% decrease in fat cells from the treated area.[1]

Where is CoolSculpting used? CoolSculpting is primarily used around the midsection. It can be used to treat stubborn areas of fat such as love handles, a muffin top, or back fat. To reduce fat on other parts of the body, such as the legs or arms, [link pid=75]liposuction[/link] may be more beneficial.

Is it right for me? If you have a few unwanted inches around your middle, CoolSculpting may be for you. CoolSculpting works best for people who are healthy and in good shape, but who have a few problematic areas that don’t respond to diet or exercise. A complete consultation with one of our treatment professionals will determine if CoolSculpting is best for you.

How many treatments will I need? Patients typically see noticeable results after just 1 CoolSculpting treatment.1 However, additional treatments can be performed for more dramatic effects.

How much does CoolSculpting cost? Cost varies from patient to patient, so it’s difficult to summarize costs prior to a consultation. During your first visit, you will receive a quote that reflects the size of the areas you decide to have treated and the number of CoolSculpting sessions you choose to have.
